MAHA Announces Affordable Mortgage Deal with Santander

December 11, 2017 - Esther Dupie, MAHA's immediate past president, announced tonight at our annual meeting that Santander Bank has agreed to a five-year $265 million commitment to the ONE Mortgage program. Esther and MAHA vice president Thadine Brown welcomed and thanked Gwen Robinson, Santander's Managing Director for Corporate Social Responsibilty and Steve Adamo, US Head of Mortgage Banking.

Mayoral Candidates Make Commitments on Equitable Homeownership at MAHA/MPDC Forum. Still More Work To Do.

BOSTON, MA – On Wednesday, October 20, 2021, the Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance (MAHA) and the Madison Park Development Corporation hosted mayoral hopefuls Annissa Essaibi George and Michelle Wu at a virtual forum on making access to homeownership more equitable in Boston. Members of both organizations shared their stories and asked the candidates to commit to the most critical steps the new mayor can take to shrink the city's racial homeownership and wealth gaps.

Taste of Dorchester is a hit!

Apirl 30, 2021 - Last night, MAHA held its 13th annual Taste of Dorchester and for the second consecutive year it was a lively online event. Taste of Dorchester celebrates our local restaurant community and one highlight of the event was interviews with owners Teresa Maynard of Sweet Teez Bakery and Tambo Barrow of Bred Gourmet. Staff and board members ordered takeout from Dorchester restaurants including Irie Jamaican, Bred, Blarney Stone, Family Affair, 50 Kitchen, El Barrio and more.
