Kenzie Bok elected to Boston City Council

Our congratulations to Kenzie Bok on winning the District 8 City Council seat yesterday. Kenzie becomes the first MAHA Board member to win elective office in the organization's 34 year history. Kenzie was a leader in the effort to pass the Community Preservation Act in Boston in 2016 and campaigned on a platform of increasing affordable housing opportunities in her district and throughout the city. We look forward to working with her in 2020.

TODAY is Election Day in Boston for contested City Council races

In some odd-numbered years, our politics can be sleepy. But not this year! Fifteen candidates are running for four at-large City Council seats and there are active races in Districts 5 (Hyde Park-Mattapan), 7 (Roxbury), 8 (Back Bay-Fenway-Mission Hill), and 9 (Allston-Brighton). MAHA is reminding all that it is important to get out and vote on Tuesday, September 24th between 7am-8pm. Check out our questionnaire to the candidates to find out where they stand on issues important to MAHA members.

Want To Buy? Can't Find A House At A Reasonable Price?

VOTE! And call MAHA at 617-822-9100 for information on our "Affordable Homeownership Solutions" campaign.

Our communities are stronger when we vote. We have greater influence over elected officials when they know that if they deliver for us, we will turn out for them. They also need to know that if they ignore our needs or vote against our interests, we will remember that on Election Day.
