MAHA's 10,000 square foot "green" headquarters, opened in 2008, is a community resource for both homebuyers taking a class and other community organizations. More than 3,500 people per year attend a class, meeting, or other event at MAHA's conveniently located building in the heart of Boston's largest and most diverse neighborhood.
Designed by Studio G architects and built by Lee Kennedy Co., the building was dedicated to Bob and Jean Sheridan in November, 2008. Bob Sheridan was President and CEO of Savings Bank Life Insurance from 1992-2012 and chaired MAHA's $3.5 million capital campaign. In October 2015 we re-dedicated the building as the Sheridan-Hagins Homeownership Center to honor the life and contributions of Florence Hagins, MAHA's "first homebuyer" and former assistant director who passed away in March 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida.
