CONFLICT OF INTEREST & CODE of ETHICS DISCLOSURE STATEMENT
It is the Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance's (MAHA) intention to provide the best possible Education, Counseling and Resources in promoting affordable home ownership opportunities and advice for / to low and moderate income individuals and families of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In this endeavor, it is our hope that prospective homebuyers will be able to make educated, informed and voluntary decisions with regards to their home buying and foreclosure process.
Conflict of Interest Statement
Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance is a nonprofit housing counseling agency that provides comprehensive housing counseling to its clients. Any client utilizing our services is not required to continue using those services or the services of any other entity we work with in providing housing related services. In addition, we provide referrals to entities that provide housing and mortgage related services, including MAHA Homes real estate services. The client is free to choose any entity of their choice in trying to attain their housing related goals.
Disclosure Statement
The purpose of MAHA's homebuyer counseling program is to educate and counsel prospective homebuyers to make informed, voluntary decisions regarding their home buying process. We will inform you of our funding sources for our homebuyer education and counseling program, so that you understand any inherent or unintentional biases we may have.
Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance holds the Seal of Approval from the Massachusetts Homeownership Collaborative and we fully adhere to the Code of Ethics.
Fair Housing
The Staff members and all Presenters of MAHA classes are expected to comply with all Fair Housing Laws at all times. No discrimination of any race, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, ancestry, genetic information, marital status, veteran or active military status, age, familial status (i.e., children), and source of income is ever permitted.
I certify that MAHA staff have fully reviewed the Massachusetts Homeownership Collaborative Seal of Approval, Code of Ethics, the Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance Conflict of Interest Statement, Disclosure and their Fair Housing Statement.
